Education

Recently completed a PhD in Clinical Anatomy, as a Clinical Researcher based at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. Undergraduate Anatomical Sciences degree from one of the top European anatomical institutes, CAHID. I have published work in the British Journal of Anaesthesia, and have works underway on 'anatomical education for surgical skill development' , radiological muscle mass analysis for risk assessments and currently working on a book helping anatomy students learn quickly and in a way that is memorable. I have taught using cadaveric dissection, prosections and small group sessions, and often build in different methods of teaching within each opportunity to ensure maximum retention of information. I will also typically ask a few questions to get my students thinking further and check up on them in the next session to see how their understanding has developed.

Experience

I teach anatomy to medical, dental, biomedical, anatomical and other students across the UK. I have always tutored throughout A Levels (in maths, biology and chemistry), and throughout my undergraduate degree. As a Clinical Anatomy PhD student, I researched into the impact surgery has on patients, using anatomical knowledge as a foundation to this work. Out with this, I have set up, ran and consulted for mental health services, now serving as a trustee/ charity director. I supervise students, who have received 1st class honours degrees, and have taught on massive online open courses for anatomy. I pride myself on being flexible to the way someone else learns, and play to their learning style. I have a high degree of organisation and am driven by challenges such as a student not quite understanding the subject.

Hobbies

I'm a friendly character, with a lot of experience in areas ranging from sports, to work in different professions and enjoy keeping busy. Currently, I'm reading 'The Life of Pasteur' 1917, though read almost anything! I help with St John First Aid, and am a trustee for Nightline, a mental health charity. I really enjoy supervising and taking the time to help others develop their knowledge base, and so am committed to a tutee when taken on. Whilst I am friendly, I am firm, detail orientated, and highly driven meaning that when I tutor someone, we work together actively to strive for success and face challenges head-on. I'm readily contactable, so should students require flexibility or a rapid response, I'll be there to help out.
